A New Jersey Police Officer, Steve Klink, bought a pair of speakers on eBay that turned out to be junk. He turned to eBay for help and like many a unsatisfied customer turning to the auction giant, received little to none.
Taking matters into his own hands he started a website, ebayersthatsuck.com and the seller did refund his money. But it didn't stop there AND being a "civic minded" individual, Steve continued the site.
Quite simply, he realized that there were a lot of eBay victims out there and that the site might help others.
The site is interactive and members can search for eBay fraudsters and help others by publishing their own tales of eBay misdeeds.
Here is their vision in their own words:
"At Ebayers That Suck we know what it's like to get screwed at on-line auctions. Once screwed you are limited to 80 characters, basically one sentence to tell your story. At Ebayers That Suck we provide you with up to one full page of web space plus pictures to tell your tale. "
"So next time you deal with a swindler and don't want to leave negative feedback for fear of retaliation, post them here. You will get the last laugh when they are officially branded with our puke green " you suck" logo and the on-line auction world can see what a deadbeat they really are. "
In conjunction with the site, Steve has written a book, Dawn Of The eBay Deadbeats Available on Amazon.com.
There is also a link on the site, where people can sign up for class action law suit against eBay.
eBay seems to be attracting a lot of litigation and Tiffanys recently filed against them for selling counterfeit merchandise. The eBay Fraud Group is also talking about trying to get a class action law suit started.
There are a growing number of eBay customers becoming ANGRY and speaking their mind. I've written a number of posts about this, which can be found by searching this blog by keyword "eBay" at the top of the page.
eBay, who continues to make record profits better wake up and realize that it was their customer, who made them successful, or suffer the consequences.

Several people have lodged complaints against this website during the past ten months for several reasons, most of which fall into the category of libel, breach of trust, and unauthorized publication of personally-identifiable information. As of yesterday, its url directs people to a book which is on sale at Amazon.com.
Brothers Klink (the owners of the site) trashed not only sellers but buyers as well. One of the moderator's involvement constituted a conflict of interests; he represented himself as an eBay Power Seller.
There were a few threats of lawsuits from angry discussion participants posted on the website during the past year. How many of the threats actually made it to court is anyone's guess, but the owners received a very clear message: Stop it or start dancing to the music. Messrs Klink have stopped their juvenile behavior and shut that website down. They may be seen dancing some day.
Ya, I saw how one moderator exposed people's real names when they just signed up under thier eBay name. What I hated was how the guy blatently allowed forum members to make direct accusations of people. They would use not only the ebay name but thier real names too.
Atleast three people threatened action against Ebayersthatsuck.com. Supposedly one had three state attorney generals breathing down their throats.
Ebayersthatsuck.com started out as a good idea but they took it too far. I know if my name got dragged through the mud like others did, I would sue. I am glad there gone.

ebayersthatsuck.com was not too good a website I think. A moderter went crazy a couple of times that I saw. I just tried to visit the place to see the drama and it has disappeared. Its just a link to a book stor or something.
My Name was allowed to be bublished on this website. The moderator "soc" who claimed to be a Power Seller" was the one that allowed this to continue. Te owhners of the site just did not care what soc did. I am glad that this website is gone. I can now rest easier knowing that my personal information is gone.
